South Africa now has claim to the two stand 9 hour merino lamb World Record of 970.
Tienie du Plessis 447 and Aidan Copp 523 set the final total at ‘Teebuswaters’, Steynsburg, Easter Cape, South Africa.
Rain, quite cold conditions and a wool weight average of 1.9 kgs made for a tough day.

Alexia Phillips set a new Women’s solo World record shearing 367 merino ewes in 8 hours at ‘Spring Valley Farm’ Darkan, West Australia beating Jeanine Kimm’s three month old record by nine.
